Meet Lauren
Your Breeder
Lauren began her breeding journey in 2019 after spending time helping and learning from other breeders. Over time, she realized she wanted to create a program built on deeper intention, focusing more on health, temperament, and purposeful early development. That vision led her to build Sunset Retrievers from the ground up.
Today, Lauren is the heart of the program. She oversees every pairing, whelping, and puppy-raising protocol with a hands-on approach. Her passion lies in “raising puppies with purpose.” Making sure each puppy has the foundation they need to thrive in their forever families.
Lauren is also a registered dietitian who does contract work part-time, but breeding is her true full time calling. She pours her energy into building an ethical program that has brought countless families the Golden Retriever of their dreams.
Meet Daniel
Training & Care Coordinator
Daniel is the backbone of the daily operations. He oversees the physical care of our pack, which includes cleaning, feeding, exercising, and ensuring every dog receives consistent structure and attention.
He also trains our dogs for both hunting and therapy work, and handles all early puppy development, including ENS and ESI. Daniel is incredibly patient and skilled, and our dogs adore him.
His dedication shines most during whelping and newborn care. He stays up through the night, sleeps on the floor next to mamas, and gives everything he has to make sure each puppy is thriving. This is his full-time passion.
